It was time for more chair fitness fun again last week here at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home.
We hosted an hour’s session in our main lounge and as always, it was a fully packed class.
Our residents did resistance band exercises, which are great for strengthening the arms, stress ball squeezing for the fingers, leg kicks and a lot more!
Jane does a segment called ‘movement to music’, which is great for the memory as she does the same routine each time. There are ‘jazz hands‘ and ‘sunshine stretches’ to name a few.
Something you can guarantee about chair fitness is that there will be smiles all around; we’re already practicing for the next session!
