We started our St George’s Day celebrations early at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home this year by making our own selfie frame!
We made it completely from scratch using a cardboard box, making the little flags to stick on to it. We filled our Home with flags too, to get us into the spirit of the day.
As you can see, we took lots and lots of lovely selfies in the morning and this was followed by a British quiz, which was great fun.
In the afternoon we hosted our in-house service led by Jean. She themed it around St George’s Day and taught us all the fascinating history behind it.
After this, our ladies and gents tucked into a proper British tea party, complete with homemade Victoria Sponge and pots of tea!
