Our young pre-school friends joined us again on Friday morning at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home to spend some quality time with our residents.
This time they joined us for baby doll bath time and nursery rhymes. This activity is a firm favourite with some of our residents as they enjoy reminiscing about times they cared for young children and sung nursery rhymes to them. It is always amazing how some of our residents with advanced dementia with recall the songs and happily sing along with us.
This activity was only made better by the children joining us! Our residents loved interacting with them and encouraging them to sing along and play with the baby dolls.
This special time with the pre-school children has become treasured for some of our residents and they will often talk about the children for several days afterwards.
