Finishing touches for Christmas
With the Christmas weekend fast approaching, our residents at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home have been busy writing Christmas cards for their families and wrapping up presents.
Our ladies and gents really enjoyed this annual tradition and it created some lovely opportunities to share family and Christmas memories with each other.

Sonya Lodge Christmas party
It was our favourite time at Sonya Lodge on Saturday 17 December – party time!
Our residents had their annual Christmas Party at Sonya Lodge and were joined by their families and members of staff for the festive get together. Everyone arrived in their festive outfits and dancing shoes!
Once everybody had arrived, we were joined by the fabulous Maxine, who filled our Home with amazing Christmas songs and party tunes, while dressed as Mrs Claus. Her voice was fantastic and everyone was keen to get on the dance floor and show off their best dance moves.
We then received a very special visit from Father Christmas who delivered treats to all of our residents. We all said that it really doesn’t matter how old or young you are, when you see Father Christmas we all turn into excitable children!
After the excitement of Santa and the workout of dancing the afternoon away, everyone had built up an appetite, so we were over the moon to be able to tuck into a delicious spread of food. Our residents love a good buffet, and we all do too!
It was such a lovely day and party atmosphere at Sonya Lodge – and so very special to spend it together with our residents and their families.
