Some of our residents at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home recently told us that they really fancied an afternoon tea, while others suggested making mocktails and playing games. So we thought, why not combine all of these ideas into one lovely activity!
Our day started with some of our residents going to the shops with our Activities Team to buy the supplies they needed.
Once they had returned, the team put together a marvellous selection of indulgent cream cakes for our afternoon tea. These were accompanied by teas, coffees, and a mocktail making station (…which Maggie and Doris definitely approved of!).
Once the treats and drinks were served, we brought out the board games. Our residents love a good game and our board games definitely brought out their competitive sides! Great fun!
