Many of our residents at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home remember learning a little bit of Morse Code when they were younger, or hearing their parents talk about it, and were very keen to give it a go themselves.
Our ladies and gents learnt how to write their names in Morse Code and we then put this in to our Morse Code app and listened to how it sounded. This really made us laugh at how long some of our names became!
We even had one resident who requested to be referred to only by her dots and dashes, rather than her name, for the remainder of the morning!
We definitely have discovered some code breakers here and look forward to practicing our code skills again soon.
