We discovered that it was World Egg Day on Friday 13 October, so to mark this international day our residents at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home got creative and decorated eggs together.
They used a selection of coloured paints, pens, stickers, glitter and coloured wool to make their very own egg-cellent masterpieces! Some residents even gave their eggs a personality by turning them into egg characters.
This activity not only stimulated our residents’ creative skills, but also brought lots of fun with sensory input. Everyone enjoyed the different textures, from the smooth egg shell to the fluffy wool.
Being creative brought lots of joy and laughter to our residents and we all thoroughly enjoyed celebrating World Egg Day.
