Community trips are very important to our residents at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home and we ensure that we arrange outings regularly for our residents.
Some of our residents requested two trips last week – to Hawley Garden Centre and our local pub, The Plough in Wilmington.
At the Garden Centre our residents enjoyed looking at and smelling the beautiful plants and flowers on display. And no trip to the Garden Centre would be complete without a visit to the café for a hot drink and delicious slice of homemade cake!
Those who visited the pub enjoyed choosing their favourite drink from the bar and then having a good chat with each other and other local patrons.
It’s important to maintain regular routines for all of our residents and community trips are a big part of this, and something that we are always happy to arrange and offer support with.
