National Dog Day – 26 August 2023
Saturday 26 August was National Dog Day. We have lots of animal lovers here at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home, with many of our residents previously owning their own dogs.
To celebrate this wonderful day we arranged a visit from the amazing Gizmo, the chihuahua-cross, and his owner Maria. Gizmo arrived at Sonya Lodge, wagging his tail with the anticipation of seeing the residents for some cuddles. The residents were ecstatic to see him and showered him with love and affection.
Gizmo’s visits always bring smiles to our residents faces and spark many conversations about pets they have owned.
