Going shopping is an important activity for so many of our residents at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home. It provides them with an opportunity to continue doing an activity they have always done during their life and provides a sense of normalcy.
These types of activities are crucial when supporting residents to settle into a care home setting.
Pauline and Ellen loved their trip to the shops. They had a list of items to find for our upcoming carnival event and they also made sure that they added a few of their favourite sweets to the shopping list!
