Worship and praise service
Our residents who follow the Christian faith enjoy their weekly in-house worship and praise service at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home. This service is led by Jean Hook from St Michaels Church in Wilmington.
Last week, our residents enjoyed a short sermon led by Jean, followed by a chorus of their favourite Christian hymns and songs.
After our residents had filled our Home with their beautiful voices, they completed their service by praying together and giving thanks.
This shared experience is extremely important to many of our residents and they love spending time with their friend Jean.
Men’s Club
Some of our gentlemen at the Lodge spent time together last week to work on some electronics. They built their circuits together to make a lightbulb light up.
It was a pleasure to watch our men at work, talking about which tool would be best for each job, and comparing notes – some deserved and well-spent quality time together that they all thoroughly enjoyed.
