Transforming our garden
The weather is now improving and summer is definitely on the way! With this being said, it was time for us to transform our garden at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home into the colourful and relaxing oasis that we all love.
Some of our residents are keen gardeners, so they were up for the challenge of transforming our garden. A group headed off to the shops to find all of the garden tools and accessories that we needed, while others went to the garden centre to pick out all of the plants and flowers.
Once everyone returned with the items the hard work began. The weeding was completed, and then our residents started planting the beautiful flowers into the raised beds and plant pots. It was a messy job but everyone seemed to be thoroughly enjoying themselves!
After doing a fantastic job, everyone sat down to enjoy the sunshine and admire their handiwork. It was lovely to sit outside together, soaking up the sunshine and enjoying some refreshments over a good chat.
