We were recently contacted by Andrew from the Ellenor team here at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home. He informed us that we had been nominated by one of their Care Home Support Nurses for a project targeting frailty in Care Homes.
The Nurse who nominated us had recommended us for the project because they said we work well with the Ellenor Care Home Support Team. We were very pleased to be nominated and recommended for the reasons given as we pride ourselves on our good working relationships with other professionals. 
As part of the project, an Ellenor Therapist called Alex visits our residents every Tuesday for a seated exercise group.
Our residents love this type of activity and were keen to get stuck in and give it a go last week! 
The session lasted an hour and consisted of a range of stretches and exercises to music while seated. Our ladies and gents thoroughly enjoyed the session, with one resident commenting “This was the best thing ever!”
It was a brilliant workout for our residents and staff, who all had a giggle together while taking part.
Our residents can’t wait to see Alex again and are looking forward to this week’s playlist of songs as they were able to send their own music requests to him!
