Cake Decorating
We all love a sweet treat at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home! So, as you can imagine, our cake decorating activity went down a storm.
Our residents put their artistic flair to work to create some scrumptious cakes. We had a variety of toppings to choose from so that everyone could design their favourite and personalised cake. Everyone enjoyed themselves and we polished off our fantastic cakes with a nice cup of tea!
Pancake Day
Oh, we do love Pancake Day! We celebrated Pancake Day at Sonya Lodge this year with a pancake flipping competition. Our residents all took turns trying to flip pancakes successfully. We spent quite a lot of time retrieving pancakes that seemed to land anywhere apart from the pan, but this all added to the fun.
In the afternoon we held a pancake tasting session. Our residents enjoyed some pancakes and had a variety of toppings to choose from. These included chocolate, strawberry sauce, honey, maple syrup, lemon juice and sugar, and even some banana (for those who wanted a healthier option).
