We’ve all had a fantastic busy weekend here at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home!
Saturday morning started with some doll therapy. This activity can provide a sense of calm and is also is a great opportunity for our residents to reminisce.
For lunch, our ladies and gents tucked into a cheeky McDonalds! This was on a few of our residents’ wish lists for this month, so we were more than happy to arrange it. Burgers, nuggets, fries, milkshakes and ice-cream – it went down an absolute treat! And as an added extra, some of our residents received a soft toy with their meal, so they enjoyed looking at these.
Our Activity Lead, Jo, brought her doggies in for everyone to see – sweet Rocco and energetic Bobby! Our residents loved having cuddles with them and they are always such good fun to have around.
Sunday rolled around and it was choir practice before we knew it. We all sang our usual song list and of course a few had a little dance!
What a super weekend!
