Our residents and staff love musical events and activities here at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home, therefore it seemed only right for us to celebrate World Music Day together on Wednesday 21 June!
We were joined by musician Johnny who treated us to a wonderful selection of songs from across the decades. Our residents were very happy to see him, as at our last residents’ meeting they had requested that we booked a male singer for our next event. They took to the dance floor as soon as he started singing, showing off their best dance moves and singing their hearts out.
It is customary for people to go outside and sing or play music on World Music Day, and I think our residents definitely did their bit this year!
