We all had the loveliest Valentine’s Day at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home, when love was in the air!
We started the morning by getting our Home full of love, with bunches of pink and red roses.
After this, our residents enjoyed decorating cupcakes with pink buttercream, butterflies and glitter, and we decorated our tables for lunch with loveheart tablecloths, roses and balloons. We welcomed several couples to dine with us for a midweek roast, including George and Angela.
In the afternoon it was time to party! Amazing singer Graham performed for us and it was not long before we were up dancing as he sang a medley of love songs.
We all spent the afternoon singing and dancing and then each of our residents were gifted Valentine’s Day sweetie bags filled with treats.
What a fabulous way to spend Valentine’s Day – everyones’ hearts were singing!
