Our Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home residents and Activities Team worked together to organise a Macmillan Coffee Morning to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Angela and Olga worked together to decorate some cupcakes for the event. They used white and green icing to represent Macmillan’s colour scheme. They then added cherries, edible flowers and butterflies, sprinkles and edible glitter. The finished cakes were beautiful (and delicious!) and something they were both very proud of.
Our Chef David also baked and decorated a scrumptious carrot cake for our coffee morning and we had a selection of jam tarts, cherry bakewell tarts, Swiss roll and chocolate mini rolls. What a delight!
Our residents and team members loved their treats and we raised a fantastic £82.48 (plus some online donations) for Macmillan Cancer Support.
