It was fireworks night on Sunday 5 November and we had our annual celebration here at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home.
We have a tradition at Sonya Lodge for this night, and that is hot dogs and hot chocolate! Our residents tucked into hot dogs with mustard and ketchup and then washed them down with hot chocolate, freshly whipped cream, marshmallows and chocolate shavings! Everything went down an absolute treat.
After the yummy treats, we all crowded around the windows and waited for the show to start. We eagerly waited for the first fireworks, and before we all knew it, the sky was lit up with beautiful colours.
For half an hour, we were all mesmerised by the sparkly spectacle; it was such a glorious night and everyone enjoyed it. We cannot wait for next year already!
