Local trips into the community
Local trips into our community are important for our residents at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home; they help us stay connected.
Our latest trip was this Saturday and we ventured into Dartford to go shopping for bunches of flowers for flower arranging. Our resident’s picked out lots of vibrant flowers ready to be arranged later that day, including carnations, lilies and gladioli.
Even more local to us is St Michaels Church and we go to their coffee morning every Tuesday; we enjoyed delicious cakes and hot drinks and socialise with fellow members of the community.
Also, on a Sunday morning, we take part in the church service. Pictured here, Keith who loves it there so much, he told us it is his happy place.
Lastly, we took an afternoon stroll down to churchyard, it’s lovely and peaceful. Our residents enjoyed picking flowers together to bring back for the others.
We love our local links here at Sonya Lodge and our residents are valued members of the community.
