Last week our Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home residents visited St Michaels Church coffee morning, Wilmington Village Farmers Market and our local shops.
We were once again welcomed in by our friends at St Michael’s Church to enjoy a slice of cake and hot drink. It was lovely for everyone to be able to catch up with friends and share a laugh together.
Our ladies and gents always love a visit to our local farmers market. The local residents make us all feel so welcome and always reserve us a table so we can make the most of our time there (as we definitely have to always try the delicious homemade cakes on sale!).
Our other community outing this week was a shopping trip to Crayford. Beryl, Roz and Olga were thrilled to be going out together for a ladies shopping trip. They scanned the aisles together looking at all of the new clothes. They then went in search of any bits and pieces they needed or wanted to buy. After all that shopping it was time to hit the café for some much needed refreshment.
What an enjoyable week!
