To celebrate Easter at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home, our residents said they would like to do their annual Easter bonnet parade, which has proved so popular in the past.
We were only too happy to oblige, so our ladies and gents got to work creating some fantastic bonnets with colourful straw hats, miniature fencing, chicks, Easter stickers and coloured straw.
Our residents then paraded their creations around our Home while singing and dancing to music, which as you can imagine, resulted in lots of laughter by all taking part!
We then raffled off three stunning Easter hampers. Our little helper Gideon came in to help with the proceedings and presented our winners with their prizes.
Our raffles raised £177 for our residents’ fund – this money will be spent on special activities, events and trips that are requested by our residents to enhance their wellbeing.
