We have just celebrated three lovely birthdays here at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home; Joyce celebrated her 89th birthday and Wendy and Eileen both celebrated turning 91.
Joyce, Eileen and Wendy celebrated in style! Our Home was decorated in birthday banners and balloons and they each received presents and cards from their families, friends, and everyone at The Lodge.
All three ladies were asked what they would like to do on their special day, and we worked hard to ensure that these requests were met.
Both Joyce and Eileen spent time being pampered by our team members, whereas Wendy requested a birthday tea party with her friends. We were very happy to arrange this for her and our residents definitely enjoyed celebrating with her at her tea party.
Each of our birthday ladies had a beautiful cake made for them by our Chef David and our residents loved singing ‘Happy birthday‘ to them, before all enjoying a delicious slice of birthday cake.
