The time arrived for our annual Sports Day at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home. Unfortunately mother nature had other plans with the weather, but that didn’t deter us and we moved our event indoors.
Our residents and families enjoyed an array of different sporty activities that included:
- The hoop toss
- Bean bag throw
- Bean bag targets
- Tennis
- Hook a duck
- The egg and spoon race
Everyone got into the competitive spirit and built up points across the activities. It was fantastic to see everyone giving it a go; Sonya Lodge was full of laughs, encouragement and camaraderie.
Our residents had a brilliant day and were thrilled when they were presented with their well-deserved medals!
