Here at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home on Sunday 11 November our Union Jack bunting and Remembrance Day decorations and poppy tributes were proudly displayed in our main lounges and dining room, in honour of the servicemen and women who have lost their lives fighting for our freedom.
Our ladies and gents enjoyed a wonderful Sonya Lodge luncheon, trestle table style, with Union Jack table cloths and table decorations.
Our Kitchen Team served a wonderful tradition meal;

With creamy mashed potato or roast potatoes and vegetablesDesserts
Victoria sponge or rice pudding
We also created a beautiful ‘Remember me tree‘, where our residents and staff could attached their own special messages.
To complete the day, supper was a delicious spread of scones with jam and cream. The perfect end to a memorable day.
