We are so fortunate to have three amazing Chefs at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home. Steve, David, and Sharon always make delicious meals, snacks and cakes for everyone here and are always happy to oblige any request that comes in from any of us.
We wanted to celebrate International Chefs Day on Friday 20 October with our Chefs by doing doing something special to say thank you for everything they do.
Our residents worked hard to create some beautiful personalised thank you cards for each Chef. Our ladies, gents and team members then dressed up as Chefs for the day with aprons and Chef hats. Our residents presented Steve, David and Sharon with a lovely hamper of wine, cheese, ham, crackers, and of course their homemade card.
All three Chefs were completely surprised by this lovely gift from residents and colleagues at Sonya Lodge.
We then kept the food-themed atmosphere going by having a food-based sing-along to many of favourite songs that mentioned foods. Who knew there were so many food songs out there?!
We had a fantastic day and loved celebrating our three fantastic and talented Chefs. Thank you Steve, David and Sharon for all that you do.
