Thanking our Recreation and Well-being Team at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home

Last week, we took a moment to pause and reflect on the incredible contribution made every day by our Recreation and Well-being Team members – Deanne, Jo and Nikki – at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home, who play such an important role in enriching the lives of our residents.

We had a special presentation and our Manager John expressed his gratitude:

“Today we had the pleasure of recognising our wonderful Recreation and Well-being Team at Sonya Lodge, presenting them with flowers and a bottle of wine on behalf of our residents who truly appreciate everything they do. It was especially touching to hear Angela, one of our residents, share her own heartfelt thanks with the team – a reminder of the real impact their work has every single day.

As part of National Activity Providers and Professionals Week 2026, we are celebrating the dedication, creativity and compassion shown by recreation teams across the country. Here at Sonya Lodge, our team plays a vital role in keeping our residents physically active, mentally stimulated and emotionally supported. Their commitment brings joy, comfort and connection to the people who live here, and that deserves to be acknowledged.

Thank you for your hard work, your energy and the care you put into every activity, conversation and moment. You make a meaningful difference and today was a small way of showing how valued you are by both our residents and team, and Nellsar.”

Moments like these remind us just how much care and heart goes into our activities. We are incredibly proud of our Recreation and Well-being Team and grateful for the positive impact they continue to make at Sonya Lodge each and every day.
