We’ve had wonderful visits from some of our favourite doggies here at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home in the past few weeks. Maria has brought in her cheeky chappies Gizmo and Charlie, and our team member Amanda kindly came in with her gorgeous pup Tilly. All three charmed our residents and team members!
Pet Therapy has been a favourite activity at our Home. Our residents love having cuddles with the dogs and spending time with them, and it’s magical to witness the sheer joy and calmness that spreads across their faces when the pups are with us. These sessions also encourage many moments of reminiscence and shared stories about pets or experiences with animals in the past.
