Our residents at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home have been enjoying some lovely community outings recently, spending time socialising, sharing refreshments and enjoying plenty of laughs with friends. Visits have included our local church coffee morning, Wilmington Village Farmers’ Market and a trip to our local pub – all giving our ladies and gents the opportunity to stay connected with familiar faces and enjoy time out in the community.
We especially value the friendships we have built at St Michael’s of All Angels Church in Wilmington. We love visiting the church on Tuesday morning for their community coffee morning, where we enjoy socialising with friends, warming drinks and a sweet treat or two!
Some of our gentlemen also recently enjoyed quality time together at our local pub, The Plough, where they ordered their favourite tipples and nibbles, sharing laughs and good conversation in a relaxed setting.
Others jumped at the chance to visit the weekly Wilmington Village Farmers’ Market, browsing craft stalls and admiring the fresh produce on offer before sitting together to enjoy a hot drink, delicious baked goods and a friendly catch-up.
These outings are a wonderful way for our residents to stay socially connected and continue enjoying life within our wider community.
