Bonjour from Sonya Lodge!
Last week, our Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home residents set off on a wonderful virtual cruise to France, enjoying a themed experience filled with culture, flavour and music. Throughout the week, we explored different French tourist spots through virtual tours, learned fascinating facts about the country and sampled a selection of French cheeses and wine.
The experience was brought to life with beautiful music, helping everyone feel as though they had truly travelled abroad. It was a delightful week filled with new experiences and shared moments – a lovely way to explore another country from the comfort of our Home.
Valentine’s Day
Love was certainly in the air at the Lodge as we came together to celebrate Valentine’s Day with our residents, families and friends.
The day began with our residents arranging vibrant fresh flowers to decorate our Home, adding a beautiful touch ahead of a delicious celebratory lunch. We decorated our tables with a Valentine’s theme, creating a warm and welcoming setting for everyone to enjoy.
In the afternoon, we were entertained by the wonderful Maxine, who had everyone singing and dancing along to much-loved songs. It was a joyful and heart-warming way to celebrate the day and share time together.
