Many happy returns!
We’ve celebrated Tom’s 91st birthday at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home over the past week and he had a lovely time opening his cards and presents from his friends.
Tom had a fantastic day and particularly enjoyed the delicious birthday cake, made by our Chefs. His face lit up with a huge smile as everyone sang ‘Happy birthday‘ to him – and of course, our birthday boy joined in with the singing too!
Local market
We love seeing our friends from the local community and the weekly Wilmington Village Farmers Market is a fantastic opportunity to do this. Our residents love exploring the market to peruse the craft stalls and see some of the amazing fresh produce on offer. They particularly enjoy the cake stall and can often be found purchasing some cakes to enjoy over a cup of tea or coffee.
So many of our local friends also visit the market and it’s wonderful to see our ladies and gents chatting with them and catching up on all the latest gossip and news!
