We celebrated VE Day with lots of fun and high spirits here at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home.
We set up a long table to celebrate ‘street party style‘; it was so much fun with our Union Jack flags, hats, and table decorations – with a theme of red, white and blue of course!
Our menu cards were handmade, with pictures including Churchill and spitfires which our residents thoroughly enjoyed, as well as the quiz questions to answer inside. They very much approved of our VE Day lunch – especially our Chef’s homemade trifle decorated with flags!

We danced and sang our way through the afternoon. It was an amazing atmosphere of fun, laughs and togetherness. A party to remember!
