It was tastebuds to the ready here at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home on Tuesday 26 May, when we held our very own ‘Bake Off’ amongst our staff team.
Our amazing entries were as follows:
- Candice – Popcorn cupcakes
- Danielle – Vanilla cake with hand made meringue and marbled chocolate
- Janice – Marble ring cake
- Deanne – Coffee and walnut cake
- Jo – Banana cake
- Abi – Rainbow cake
Our blind tasters were Sally, Rachel and Karen, who had the enviable task of savouring all the delicious cakes!
Our winner was Abi with her soft and succulent rainbow cake, packed with vibrant rainbow colours. She received a special prize – a designer wooden spoon!
The Bake Off was great fun and everyone loved tasting the cakes after judging. Yum yum yum!!
