At Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home we are passionate about doing our bit for the environment and reducing our impact on global warming.
So we were more than happy to join in with the Planet Dartford initiative to focus on this important topic within our local community.
Our residents have set up their own recycling centre within Sonya Lodge. This gives residents the opportunity to collect items from around the Home to be recycled. During this activity, we often reminisce and share stories about how we recycled or “up-cycled”.
This week our residents visited some local recycling points to drop off all the items that we have collected so far.
The residents really enjoyed our visit out to do the recycling and we all felt proud knowing that we are contributing to making a change.
