Last week, our residents at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home enjoyed a couple of local outings.
On Tuesday we headed out to visit our local church, which is located on the same road as us which we are very grateful for. We went out to a ‘Coffee stop’ there which is a gathering the church organises every Tuesday for people to come together, talk, share some tea and cake and enjoy each other’s company. Coffee stop is great for our residents as it encourages real social engagement and we try and make it every week.
Next we went to Ruxley Manor Garden Centre and everyone enjoyed having a potter around, looking at the plants. We saw some beautiful cacti with different coloured flowers on them.
Of course, we had to stop for some tea and cake at the Garden Centre where we’re always spoilt with lots of different options to choose from. Yum!
We love our trips out!
