Our residents at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home always look forward to their regular Tuesday morning visits to St Michael’s Church for the much-loved community coffee mornings. These friendly gatherings are a real highlight – offering a chance to enjoy delicious home-made cakes, a comforting cup of tea or coffee, and, most importantly, great conversation.
Our residents love catching up with familiar faces from the local community and volunteers who run the mornings. The warm welcome, lovely atmosphere and tempting selection of treats always make for an enjoyable outing – plus a few friendly games of Scrabble!
It’s wonderful to see our ladies and gents forming lasting friendships while supporting such a welcoming local group. We’re already looking forward to our next visit – and, of course, another slice of cake!
