Our residents at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home celebrated British Sandwich Week (22-28 May) with some culinary activities.
Every year British Sandwich Week celebrates the humble sandwich in all its glory as well as the contribution that the sandwich industry makes to the economy.
Our ladies and gents made cakes and sandwiches to enjoy together for an afternoon tea.
Their delicious sandwiches were packed with some of their favourite fillings, including cheese and pickle, tuna mayonnaise, jam, corned beef and pickle, and chicken salad. Yum!
All of the treats were thoroughly enjoyed and we had great fun celebrating the good old sarnie!
