It was St Andrews Day on Wednesday 30 November and we wanted to celebrate the occasion with our residents at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home.
Everyone had fun wearing their Scottish hats and listening to some highland music to kick off the day.
Our residents then enjoyed a tasting session with haggis, neeps (swede) and tatties (mashed potato), with a Scottish oatcake.
We were surprised by how many of our ladies and gents were big fans of haggis – devouring the tasters and asking for seconds! They were definitely braver than some of our staff!
It was lovely to see everyone enjoying themselves and celebrating all things Scottish on St Andrews Day.
