Our residents at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home have been keeping wonderfully busy with a mix of creativity, brain games and a bit of culinary fun!
Arts, crafts and colourful creations
The week started with a burst of colour as our residents got creative with arts and crafts. Inspired by Bonfire Night, they used colouring pencils, pens and craft materials to design bright and imaginative firework pictures. It was a lovely way to express their creativity and share stories about their favourite Bonfire Night memories.
Puzzles and games for the mind
Keeping minds active is a big part of our Recreation and Well-being programme, and our residents love a good challenge! They spent time solving puzzles, playing board games and working together on brain teasers that encouraged problem-solving and teamwork.
National Sandwich Day memories
To mark National Sandwich Day, some of our lovely ladies took part in a sandwich-making session for supper. It turned into a wonderful moment of reminiscing, especially for Angela, who fondly recalled making sandwiches for her bowling team years ago. Sharing these stories over tasty sandwiches brought back many happy memories and sparked lots of conversation.
