Visiting our local friends
Last week our Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home residents took some wonderful trips out in our community.
They enjoyed their regular visit to our local church, St Michaels, for their coffee morning where our ladies and gents chose delicious homemade cakes to enjoy while chatting to the friends they have made at church.
We were also invited along to a local school for their Christmas fair; the invitation came from the lovely students who have enjoyed spending time in our Home with our residents in the summer, and are still in touch.
Last but not least we attended a wonderful family carol service at our church with a warm welcome, mince pies and a lovely selection of carols – how Christmassy!
Eyes down….
Our residents and families love their Friday afternoon of prize bingo at our Home, with ‘eyes down’ for a line and a full house – it’s a race to win!
With a selection of prizes on offer, and Deanne knowing all the ‘bingo lingo’, it’s always a great afternoon of fun!
