We were excited to organise a ‘Cockney Day’ for our residents on Friday 9 October here at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home.
We hired two ‘Pearly King and Queen‘ outfits with two of our residents in mind who are Londoners – they looked amazing in them!
We dressed our Home like a London street party, with bunting, Union Jack flags and pictures on the tables of London Landmarks.
For lunch we served pie, mash and licquor which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone and in the afternoon we had a ‘cockney rhyming slang quiz‘.
To top off the day we held a good old London sing-a-long, with some dancing too. A really fun day all around!
