Over the festive season, we were delighted to be joined by the choir from St Michaels Church in Wilmington for a wonderfully festive carol service at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home.
The choir and our residents filled our Home with the sound of their beautiful voices singing out their favourite Christmas carols. The vicar, Carl, then gave us all a short sermon about the story of the birth of Jesus.
This was a special treat for us all as many of our residents used to live locally and have links to St Michaels Church. With the weather being so cold it meant the world to many of our residents to have the vicar and choir bring the service to them in their home.
After lots of singing, everyone had earned themselves a treat; we sat together with a warm mince pie, hot drink and lots of chats and laughter.
