With Notting Hill Carnival taking place in London, we thought it was only fitting to host our very own carnival day at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home!
We filled our Home with colourful bunting and plenty of songs to party along to and our residents and staff dressed up in bright and colourful clothing and accessories – our residents’ families even got in on the action too!
Everybody enjoyed a wonderful ‘Coco cabana‘ performance from the talented singer Jasmine Kittermaster, which got us all dancing and showing off our best moves. Our Maintenance and Domestic Team became our resident band for the day with bongos, maracas and tambourines!
We all had a fantastic time and worked up an appetite with all of our dancing, so we were extremely grateful for the delicious BBQ that our Catering Team provided for us. We had a selection of burgers, sausages, chicken and a variety of different salads. Yummy!
We had a fantastic day and can’t wait for next year’s carnival day to come around again!
