Our residents at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home recently took part in the Cake4Kindness initiative – a heart-warming charity campaign that celebrates the simple joy of baking cakes to share to brighten someone’s day. The campaign encourages people across the country to bake cakes or sweet treats and gift them to individuals or organisations in their local community as a gesture of appreciation and kindness.
Our talented residents put their baking skills to good use by making some delicious cupcakes, which they iced and decorated beautifully, ready to be shared with deserving recipients in our local area.
Our residents Ellen and Monica then set off on a very special delivery outing, visiting The British Heart Foundation and Ellenor Hospice charity shops in Dartford. They handed out their tasty gifts to the hardworking staff members as a heartfelt thank you for everything they do.
The shop teams were so touched by this thoughtful gesture, expressing how much it brightened their day and made them feel appreciated. It was a truly uplifting experience for everyone involved – spreading smiles and kindness within our community.
